Abstract

Abstract
Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of information and coping with anxiety training given to women before they undergo hysterectomy on their anxiety levels.
Methods: The study sample comprised 59 women.
Results: It was determined that the training did not lead to a statistically significant difference in their anxiety levels but the mean scores obtained from the trait anxiety inventory by the women who received information from the nurse were lower.
Conclusion: In order to reduce the anxiety levels of women, nurses should provide comprehensive training and counseling before surgery.
