Abstract
VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY OF THE PHYSICAL EXAMINATION ATTITUDE AND PRACTICE SCALE IN NURSING: A METHODOLOGICAL STUDY
ABSTRACT
Objective: The aim of this study is to test the Turkish validity and reliability of the Physical Examination Attitude and Practice Scale in Nursing.
Methods: This methodological study was conducted with 294 nurses working at the Health Practice and Research Center of a state university between November 2020-February 2021. For validity analysis; When calculating the content validity index after the language adaptation study, for construct validity; Explanatory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were applied. For the reliability analysis of the scale; test-retest correlation, total score item correlation, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were calculated. For the reliability analysis of the scale; test-retes, intra-class correlation coefficient, item-total score correlation and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were calculated.
Results: The content validity index calculated based on expert opinions was found to be 0.98. In testing the construct validity, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test result was 0.845, the Barlett Sphericity Test value was 4217.799; p<0.001. The explanatory rate of the total variance in the EFA was 57.23%, and factor loads of all items ranged between 0.44 and 0.89. While the total Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of the scale was found to be 0.85, it was determined that the item-total correlation coefficients ranged between 0.41 and 0.74.
Conclusion: It was concluded that Physical Examination Attitude and Practice Scale in Nursing provides adequate validity and reliability criteria and could be used to evaluate the attitudes of Turkish nurses towards the application of physical examination.

HEMŞİRELİKTE FİZİK MUAYENE TUTUM VE UYGULAMA ÖLÇEĞİNİN TÜRKÇE GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİĞİ: METODOLOJİK BİR ÇALIŞMA
ÖZ
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Hemşirelikte Fizik Muayene Tutum ve Uygulama Ölçeği'nin Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirliğini test etmektir.
Yöntem: Metodolojik tipteki bu çalışma Kasım 2020-Şubat 2021 tarihleri arasında bir devlet üniversitesinin sağlık uygulama ve araştırma merkezi'nde çalışan 294 hemşire ile yürütüldü. Geçerlik analizleri için; dil uyarlama çalışmasının ardından kapsam geçerlik indeksi hesaplanırken, yapı geçerliği için; açıklayıcı faktör analizi ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulandı. Ölçeğin güvenirlik analizi için; zamana göre değişmezliği, sınıf içi korelasyon katsayısı, madde-toplam puan korelasyonu ve Cronbach alfa katsayısı hesaplandı.
Bulgular: Uzman görüşlerine dayalı hesaplanan kapsam geçerlik indeksi 0.98 olarak bulundu. Yapı geçerliğinin test edilmesinde Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin testi sonucu 0.845, Barlett Küresellik Testi Ki Kare değeri 4217.799; p<0.001 olarak hesaplanırken, açıklayıcı faktör analizinde toplam varyans açıklayıcılık oranı %57.23, tüm maddelerin faktör yüklerinin 0.44-0.89 arasında değişti saptandı. Ölçeğin Cronbach's Alpha katsayısı 0.85 olarak bulunurken, madde-toplam korelasyon katsayılarının 0.41 ile 0.74 arasında değiştiği belirlendi.
Sonuç: Yapılan bu çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular, Hemşirelikte Fizik Muayene Tutum ve Uygulama Ölçeği'nin yeterli geçerlik ve güvenirlik kriterlerini sağladığı ve ülkemiz hemşirelerinin, fizik muayenenin uygulanmasına yönelik tutumlarını değerlendirmek amacıyla kullanılabileceğini ortaya koydu.
