Hemodiyaliz Hastalarında Algılanan Sosyal Destek ve Umutsuzluk Düzeyleri/Perceived Social Support and Hopelessness Levels in Hemodialysis Patients
Abstract
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, hemodiyaliz hastalarında algılanan sosyal destek ve umutsuzluk düzeylerini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı-ilişki arayıcı türde yapılan bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Dicle Üniversite Hastanesinin diyaliz ünitesinde tedavi gören 90 hasta oluşturdu. Örneklemi ise, herhangi bir örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmadan araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan 80 hasta oluşturdu. Araştırma verileri, Hasta Tanıtım Formu, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği ve Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Veriler Mart-Mayıs 2021 tarihleri arasında toplandı. Verilerin istatistiksel analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistik, t testi, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis, Dunn-Bonferroni testi ve Pearson Korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Araştırmada, hastaların genel sosyal destek puan ortalaması 46,42±16,41, genel umutsuzluk puan ortalaması ise 8,61±6,85 olduğu saptandı. Araştırmada, hastaların medeni durum ve gelir durumunun hastaların sosyal destek puan ortalamalarını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde etkilediği, cinsiyet, medeni durum, öğrenim durumu ve gelir durumu, hemodiyaliz tedavi süresine göre hastaların umutsuzluk puan
ortalamaları istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde etkilediği görüldü (p<0.05). Hastaların sosyal destek düzeyi azaldıkça umutsuzluk düzeylerinin arttığı saptandı (p<0.05). Sonuç: Hemodiyaliz hastalarının sosyal desteği en fazla ailesinden aldıkları ve sosyal destek alan hastaların umutsuzluk düzeylerinde azalma olduğu görüldü.

Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the perceived social support and hopelessness levels in hemodialysis patients. Materials and Methods: It is a descriptive-relationship-seeking
study. The population of the study consisted of 90 patients who were treated in the dialysis unit of Dicle University Hospital. The sample consisted of 80 patients who volunteered to participate in the study without using any sampling method. Research data were collected using the Patient Descriptive Form, Perceived Social Support, and Beck Hopelessness Scales. The data were collected from March to May 2021. Descriptive statistics, t test, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H test, Bonferroni Correction and Pearson Correlation analysis were used in the statistical analysis of the data. Results: In the study, it was determined that the average general social support score of the patients was 46.42±16.41, and the average general hopelessness score was 8.61±6.85. In the study, it was observed that the marital status and income status of the patients affected the social support score averages of the patients statistically and significantly, and the hopelessness score averages of the patients according to gender, marital status, education status and income status, and duration of hemodialysis treatment were found to have a statistically significant effect (p<0.05). It was determined that as the social support level of the patients decreased, their hopelessness levels increased (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was observed that hemodialysis patients received the most social support from their families and that the hopelessness levels of the patients who received social support decreased.
