Tele-Nursing Practices in Elderly People

Year 2022, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 619 - 622, 30.09.2022

Abstract

The number of older adults who benefit most from health care services is increasing in our country as well as in the world. However, during the pandemic process, older adults had difficulties in meeting the health care needs they needed. In this direction, the need for tele-health applications has gained importance once again. Tele-health applications are an application that facilitates individuals’ access to health care services in their own home environment, increases the independence of individuals, facilitates disease management, saves time and aims to provide health care in a short time and in the most efficient way. In addition, thanks to the tele-nursing service within the scope of tele-health applications, all the steps of the nursing process can be carried out with the developing technological devices. In this way, both older adults and nurses are positively affected by the care process. The purpose of this review is to raise awareness against tele-nursing applications used in the care of older adults, to present examples of tele-nursing applications in line with the literature, and to examine the advantages and disadvantages of tele-nursing applications.

Yaşlılarda Tele Hemşirelik Uygulamaları

Year 2022, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 619 - 622, 30.09.2022
