Purpose: The objective of this research is to determine the quality of life the patients having chemotherapy and the influencing factors. Patients and Methods: This descriptive research has been carried out with 116 patients receiving chemotherapy in the oncology outpatient clinic of a public hospital. Results: More half of the patients 62.9 % taking part in the research were women. It has been observed that there is no difference between the men and women in terms of their health condition, social life and personal status, and it has also been determined that the scale scores of functional state of health of men are higher than women while subscale scores of emotional conditions of women are higher than men. It has been observed that there is a positive correlation between the income and social life of patients and their functional state of health. The functional state of the health of the patients living with their family and having no financial problems were higher compared to those having financial problems. Conclusion: The quality of life the patients having chemotherapy is affected by factors such as gender of the patients, their educational background, their family types, their working / financial conditions, whether they have inpatient or ambulatory treatment. However, the age of the patient, their martial status or whether they live in an urban or rural area have no influence on their quality of the life.
