Year 2018, Issue: 1, 13 - 16, 01.03.2018

Abstract

LGBTI Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex individuals are confronted with prejudice and discrimination in many societies because of their sexual orientation or gender expression. LGBTI individuals experience verbal, physical, economic and sexual assault by society, and as a consequence, these individuals manifest many social and sexual problems. The occurrence in LGBTI children and adolescents of substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors such as suicide attempts lead to the appearance of many psychiatric disorders more common than in heterosexual youth. This review aims to draw attention to issues of LGBTI adolescents, and to provide advice to health professionals who work on these individuals

Lezbiyen, Gay, Biseksüel, Transeksüel ve İnterseks Adolesanlar

Year 2018, Issue: 1, 13 - 16, 01.03.2018
