Kadınların Kullandıkları Aile Planlaması Yöntemini Değiştirme Nedenleri

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma, bir Ana Çocuk Sağlığı ve Aile Planlaması Merkezine yöntem değişikliği talebiyle başvuran kadınların, aile planlaması yöntem değiştirme nedenlerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı çalışmadır. Bu çalışma bir Ana Çocuk Sağlığı ve Aile Planlama Merkezine başvuran kadınlar ile yürütülmüştür Araştırmanın evrenini, bir Ana Çocuk Sağlığı ve Aile Planlaması Merkezidir. Veriler literatür taranarak hazırlanmış ve katılımcıların sosyodemografik özellikleri, obstetrik öyküleri, ilaç kullandıkları hastalıkları ve alışkanlıkları ile ilgili toplam 25 sorudan oluşmakta olup araştırmacı tarafından Temmuz- Ekim 2018 tarihleri arasında 335 kişiden toplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Katılımcıların çoğu (%99.4) evliydi. Gebelik sayıları ortalaması 2.7± 1.3 ve ortanca 2 (1-6)’dir. Katılımcıların çoğunun (%77.9) istenmeyen gebelik öyküsü bulunmazken, %13.1’i istenmeyen gebelik sayısı 1’dir. Kullanmakta olduğu kontraseptif yöntemi değiştirme nedeni sorgulandığında, katılımcıların %37.9’u“eşim istemiyor” olarak belirtmiştir. Katılımcıların %13.1’i kanama yaptığından, %12.8’i yeni yöntemi daha güvenilir bulduğundan, %10.4’ü yan etkileri görüldüğünden ve %8.6’sı da kullanımı zor olduğundan kullandıkları kontraseptif yöntemi değiştirmek istediklerini belirtmişlerdir.
Sonuç ve Öneriler: Kişilerin kullanmakta oldukları kontraseptif yöntemleri değiştirme nedenleri ile ilgili başka araştırmaların da yapılması önerilmektedir.

Reasons for Changing the Family Planning Method Women Use

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the reasons for changing family planning methods of women who applied to a Mother and Child Health and Family Planning Center with a request for method change.
Method: It is a descriptive study. This study was conducted with women who applied to a Maternal Child Health and Family Planning Center. The universe of the research is a Mother Child Health and Family Planning Center. The data were prepared by scanning the literature and consisted of a total of 25 questions about the sociodemographic characteristics, obstetric histories, diseases and habits of the participants, and were collected from 335 people between July and October 2018 by the researcher.
Results: Most of the participants (99.4%) were married. The mean number of pregnancies was 2.7± 1.3 and the median was 2 (1-6). While most of the participants (77.9%) did not have a history of unwanted pregnancy, 13.1% had 1 unwanted pregnancy. When questioned about the reason for changing the contraceptive method they are using, 37.9% of the participants stated that "my wife does not want". 13.1% of the participants stated that they wanted to change the contraceptive method they used because they bled, 12.8% found the new method more reliable, 10.4% had side effects and 8.6% said it was difficult to use.
Conclusion and Suggestions: It is recommended that further research should be conducted on the reasons why people change the contraceptive methods they use.
