Hayvan Destekli Terapi ve Kadın Sağlığında Kullanımı

Abstract

Hayvan destekli terapi, sağlığı ve insan refahını desteklemek için terapötik veya eğitici müdahalelere hayvanların katılımından oluşmaktır. Tipik olarak, tek başına bir tedavi seçeneğinin aksine, standart bakıma ek olarak kullanılmaktadır. Terapiye, köpekler, kediler, atlar, çiftlik hayvanları, kuşlar, hamsterler, balıklar ve yunuslar dahil ancak bunlarla sınırlı olmamak üzere çok çeşitli hayvanlar dahil edilmiştir. Bu derlemenin amacı, güncel literatür ışığında hayvan destekli terapiyi açıklamak ve kadın sağlığındaki kullanım alanlarını inceleyerek hemşirelerin ve ekibin sorumluluklarının sunulmasıdır.

Animal Assisted Therapy and Its Use in Women's Health

Abstract

Animal-assisted therapy consists of the participation of animals in therapeutic or educational interventions to support health and human well-being. It is typically used as an adjunct to standard care as opposed to a stand-alone treatment option. A wide variety of animals have been included in the therapy, including but not limited to dogs, cats, horses, livestock, birds, hamsters, fish and dolphins. The aim of this review is to explain animal assisted therapy in the light of current literature and to present the responsibilities of nurses and team by examining its usage areas in women's health.
