Iatrogenic tracheal foreign body is an extremely rare complication in adults. We aimed to report the removal of a broken stylet from the right main bronchus using flexible bronchoscopy during endotracheal intubation. The patient, who was being followed up for ischaemic stroke and was intubated for respiratory distress, was taken over by us when it was noticed that the intubation stylet was broken. It was removed by thoracic surgery using flexible bronchoscopy. Therefore, intubation should be performed by experienced hands and repeated use of the stylet should be avoided.
