Görme Engelli Bireylerin Cinsel Sağlık İhtiyaçlarının Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu araştırma görme engelli bireylerin cinsel sağlık ihtiyaçlarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki araştırma Antalya ilinde bulunan bir görme engelli derneğine üye olan 35 görme engelli birey ile yapılmıştır. Veriler, “Veri Toplama Formu” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi tanımlayıcı istatistikler sayı, yüzde, ortalama ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Görme engelli bireylerin %91,42’nün cinsel sağlık eğitimi almadığı, eğitim alan bireylerin ise gören bireylerle birlikte eğitim aldığı bulunmuştur. Görme engelli bireylerin %62,86’sı cinsel sağlık ile ilgili aramalarını internetten yapmaktadır. Görme engelli bireylerin %82,86’sı cinsel sağlık bilgilerinin yetersiz olduğunu ve sağlık profesyonellerinden eğitim almak istediklerini belirtmiştir. Sonuç: Görme engelli bireylerin profesyonel sağlık ekibi tarafından hazırlanan eğitim yöntemlerine uygun kapsamlı cinsel sağlık eğitimi ihtiyacı olduğu saptanmıştır. Bütüncül sağlık bakımında görme engelli bireylerinde ihtiyaçlarının göz önünde tutulması gerektiğini önermekteyiz.
