Öz
This study aims to examine the commercial sales between Çorum province and 80 other provinces using Newton's Gravity Model and panel data analysis. In this research, where data for the period 2006-2021 was used, the model based on the Gravity Model was estimated by the panel least squares method. According to the Gravity Model, the parameters determining the trade volumes of countries trading with each other are their total income and the distance between them. The findings obtained as a result of the study in which the Poisson Pseudo Maximum Likelihood (PPML) method was applied confirm that the model will produce results consistent with theoretical expectations; while the increase in the distance between provinces negatively affects the amount of commercial sales, the increase in the total income of the provinces affects trade positively. The study found that the total income of the province to which Çorum sells positively affects the sales amount of Çorum province to that province, while the distance between them negatively affects it. In the conclusion, various policy suggestions are presented to increase the trade volume of Çorum province.

Öz
Bu çalışmanın amacı Çorum ilinin diğer 80 il ile arasındaki ticari satışların Newton’un Çekim Modeli ve panel veri analizi kullanılarak incelenmesidir. 2006-2021 dönemine ilişkin verilerin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada Çekim Modeline dayalı model panel en küçük kareler yöntemi ile tahmin edilmiştir. Çekim Modeline göre, birbirleri ile ticaret yapan ülkelerin ticaret hacimlerini belirleyen parametreler, toplam gelirleri ile aralarındaki mesafedir. Poisson Pseudo Maksimum Olabilirlik (PPML) yönteminin uygulandığı çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular modelin teorik beklentiler ile uyumlu sonuçlar ortaya koyacağını doğrulamaktadır; iller arası mesafenin artması ticari satış miktarını olumsuz etkilerken, illerin toplam gelirindeki artış ticareti olumlu etkilemektedir. Çalışmada Çorum ilinin satış yaptığı ilin toplam gelirinin Çorum ilinin o ile olan satış miktarını pozitif yönde etkilediği aralarındaki uzaklığın ise negatif yönde etkilediği bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç kısmında Çorum ilinin ticaret hacminin arttırılması amacıyla çeşitli politika önerileri sunulmuştur.
