Bir Hasta Güvenliği Uygulaması ya da Bir Etik İkilem Kaynağı: Kimyasal Tespit

Öz

Kimyasal tespit mental bir hastalığın semptomlarına yönelik herhangi bir tedavi almayan hastaların ilaçlarla hareket özgürlüğünün ve davranışlarının kontrol altına alınmasıdır. Hemşireler hastanın kendisine ve çevresine zarar vermesi önlemek amacıyla kimyasal tespit uygulama kararı veren ekip içinde yer alabilirler ve bu kararı uygulamak zorunda kalabilirler. Hemşirelerin kimyasal tespit amacıyla kullanılan ilaçları, bu ilaçların yan etkilerini, tespit uygulamasının komplikasyonlarını, yasal ve etik yönlerini, çalıştıkları kurumun tespit uygulama politikalarını ve tespit uygulanan hastanın bakımını bilmeleri etkin ve kaliteli hasta bakımı vermeleri açısından önemlidir. Bu makalede tespit türleri ve kimyasal tespit, tespit kullanım sıklığı, tespit uygulamasının yasal ve etik yönleri ele alınmakta, kimyasal tespit uygulanan hastanın hemşirelik bakımı konuları tartışılmaktadır.
