Doula ve Doğum Koçluğu Eğitim Programlarının Profilleri

Öz

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, doula ve doğum koçluğu eğitim programlarının profillerinin incelenmesidir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı, kesitsel tipte bir araştırmadır. Veriler “doğum koçluğu”, “doğum koçluğu eğitimi”, “doula” ve “doula eğitimi” anahtar kelimeleriyle Google arama motoru aracılığıyla Haziran-Eylül 2021 tarihleri arasında 27 kurum/kuruluştan elde edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Tüm kuruluşların resmî web sitesi, iletişim bilgileri ve eğitimle ilgili bilgileri yer almaktadır. Eğitimlerin %27,7’sinin internet ortamında, %27.7’sinin hibrit (online ve yüz yüze) olduğu belirtilmiştir. Eğitimcilerin %18.5’i sağlık personelinden (hemşire, ebe, doktor, psikolog) oluşmakta, %61.4’ü eğitimciler hakkında bilgi içermemektedir. Eğitimcilerin %22.2’si doula ve doğum koçluğu konusunda eğitim almışlardır. Eğitimcilerin %11.2’si doula ve doğum koçluğu eğitimini tamamlamadan önce de doula ve doğum koçu olarak görev yapmışlardır. Eğitim içeriklerinde sıklıkla yer alan konuların gebelik, doula ve sorumlulukları, doğum sonu dönem ve doğum olduğu görülmüştür. Eğitim programlarından %51.8’si değerlendirme yöntemini belirtmemiş, %3.7’si eğitimin tamamına katılmayı yeterli görmüştür.
Sonuç: Doula ve doğum koçluğu eğitimlerinin içerik ve eğitimci niteliği açısından birçok farklılık içerdiği saptanmıştır. Bu farklılıkların aynı iş alanında yer alacak kişiler için standardize edilmesinin hizmet alıcılar için yararlı olacağı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Profiles of Doula and Birth Coaching Training Programs

Öz

Aim: The aim of the study was to examine the profiles of doula and birth coaching training programs.
Material and Methods: This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study. The data were obtained from 27 institutions/organizations between June-September 2021 through the Google search engine with the keywords "birth coaching", "birth coaching training", "doula" and "doula training".
Results: All organizations have official websites, contact information, and information about education. It was stated that 27.7% of the training was online and 27.7% were hybrid (online and face-to-face). 18.5% of the educators consist of health personnel (nurses, midwives, doctors, psychologists), and 61.4% do not contain information about educators. 22.2% of the trainers received training in doula and birth coaching. 11.2% of the trainers worked as doula and birth coaches before completing their doula and birth coaching training. It has been observed that the topics that are frequently included in the training content are pregnancy, doula and its responsibilities, the postpartum period, and birth. 51.8% of the training programs did not specify the evaluation method, and 3.7% considered it sufficient to participate in the entire training.
Conclusion: It has been determined that doula and birth coaching training have many differences in terms of content and educator quality. It has been concluded that standardizing these differences for people in the same business area will benefit service buyers.
