Objectives: We aimed to determine the frequency of low back pain complaints and factors associated with that in nurses working in hospitals in Kırlareli.Material- Method: The study was held descriptively between December 1 and 15 2011 with 150 nurses accepting to attend the study in two public hospitals and one private hospital in Kırklareli which have more than 50 nurses. The data was collected in accordance with the literature via the questionary form prepared by researchers. Percentage, averages and pearson chi-square test were used for the evaluation of the data while t test was used for independent groups. Results: 75.8% of nurses have low back pain problem and 44.2% of them see the doctor, 65.5% use medication and 9.7% get report from the doctor. The ones who are married; are associate degree graduates; have more work experience; have given birth; work in emergency, surgery room, intensive care and polyclinic; have headache, prostration and depression have more low back pain problem. It is also seen more frequently on people who do not usually bend down or do not bend down to lift an object from the ground and who do not turn to reverse direction. Conclusion: It is suggested that all nurses especially the ones working in surgery room, intensive care and polyclinic should be educated about body mechanics and they should attend a regular exercise program to increase the strength and provide the stability of lumbosacral muscles. It is suggested that nurses having frequent headache, frustration and high depression should be evaluated more carefully in terms of low back pain

Bulgular: Hemşirelerin %75.8’i bel ağrısı yaşamakta olup bel ağrısı nedeniyle %44.2’si hekime başvurmakta, %65.5’i ilaç kullanmakta ve %9.7’si rapor almaktadır.
