Obesogenic Environment

Abstract

Being a global health problem childhood obesity has a great health, social, and socioeconomic risk in both short and long terms. Preventive measures are constantly sought against the worldwide rapid increase in the incidence of childhood obesity. Currently in the fight against obesity, the number of obese children can not be reduced, and the increase also continues rapidly. The obesogenic environment is responsible for the obesity epidemiology, and is a condition supported by both overeating and immobility. Obesogenic environments are the sum of the effects of a society’s or an individual’s contribution to obesity with their life conditions and environments. Enabling the abnormal weight gain, the obesogenic environment consists of obesogenic settings, constructed, micro, and macro environments. Controlling of these factors can play an important role in control of childhood obesity
