Öz
Giriş: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin izolasyon yöntemlerine uyumlarının değerlendirilmesi hem öğrencilerin hem de hastaların sağlığı ve güvenliği açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır.
Amaç: Bu araştırma hemşirelik öğrencilerinin klinik uygulamalar sırasında izolasyon yöntemlerine uyumlarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapıldı.
Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı olarak, 01.01.2023-01.03.2023 tarihleri arasında üç farklı ilde bulunan Sağlık Bilimleri Fakülteleri’nin Hemşirelik Bölümleri’nde eğitim-öğretimlerini sürdüren 583 öğrenci ile yürütüldü. Araştırmanın verilerinin toplanmasında “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu” ve “İzolasyon Önlemlerine Uyum Ölçeği” kullanıldı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal-Wallis testlerinden yararlanıldı.
Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %68'inin kadın olduğu, %93,1'inin dahili kliniklerde uygulama yaptığı ve %32,9'una göre kliniklerde izolasyon yöntemlerine uyumunu engelleyen en önemli faktörün kliniklerdeki malzeme eksikliği olduğu saptandı. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin İzolasyon Yöntemlerine Uyum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 55,87±5,46 iken, bulaşma yolu alt boyut puanı 16,40±1,73, çalışan-hasta güvenliği alt boyut puanı 18,99±3,56, çevre kontrolü alt boyut puanı 10,43±2,10 ve el yıkama-eldiven kullanımı alt boyutu puanının ise 10,02±2,20 olduğu belirlendi. Araştırmada İzolasyon Yöntemlerine Uyum Ölçeği puan ortalamasının öğrencilerin bazı sosyodemografik özelliklerine göre farklılık gösterdiği görüldü (p<0.05).
Sonuç: Bu araştırmada, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin izolasyon yöntemlerine uyumlarının orta düzeyin üzerinde olduğu saptandı. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin izolasyon yöntemlerine uyumları konusunda hala eksiklikler bulunmaktadır. Bu nedenle, öğrencilerin eğitimlerinde izolasyon uygulamalarına daha fazla vurgu yapılması ve uygulama becerilerinin geliştirilmesi önerilmektedir.

Entrance: Evaluation of students' compliance with isolation methods is of great importance for the health and safety of both students and patients.
Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the compliance of nursing students with isolation methods during clinical practice.
Methods: The research was conducted as a descriptive study with 583 students who continued their education in the Nursing Departments of Health Sciences Faculties in three different provinces between 01.01.2023-01.03.2023. "Descriptive Information Form" and "Scale of Compliance with Isolation Precautions" were used to collect the data of the study. Frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used to evaluate the data.
Results: 68% of the students participating in the research were women, 93.1% practiced in internal clinics, according to 32.9%, the most important factor preventing their compliance with isolation methods in clinics was the lack of materials in the clinics, and 63.3% of them were in isolation. It was determined that they found their knowledge level about the methods of the study partially sufficient. While the total score of the students participating in the study on the Compliance with Isolation Methods Scale was 55.87±5.46, the transmission route sub-dimension score was 16.40±1.73, the employee-patient safety sub-dimension score was 18.99±3.56, and the environmental control sub-dimension score was 55.87±5.46. sub-dimension score was 10.43±2.10, and hand washing-glove use sub-dimension score was 10.02±2.20. In the study, it was observed that the mean score of the Scale of Adaptation to Isolation Methods differed according to some sociodemographic characteristics of the students (p<0.05).
Conclusion: In this study, it was determined that the compliance of nursing students to isolation methods was above the moderate level. According to the results of the study, there are still deficiencies in students' adaptation to isolation methods. Therefore, more emphasis should be placed on isolation practices in the education of students and their application skills should be improved.
