Septoplasti Sonrası Kullanılan Merosel ve İnternal Nazal Splint Tampon Uygulamalarının Karşılaştırılması

Purpose: To investigate the effect of merocel nasal packing or internal nasal splint after septoplasty. Patients and Methods: The study included 197 patients who underwent septoplasty for septal deviation. At the end of the operation, merocel nasal packing was used in 98 patients 45 women, 53 men; mean age 28±10 years; range 18 to 43 years , and internal nasal splint was used in 99 patients 43 women, 56 men; mean age 31±12 years; range 18 to 44 years . Nasal packs were removed after 48 hours. Patients were asked to rate pain severity with a visual analogue scale VAS during the withdrawal of nasal packing. Both groups were compared statistically with VAS scores. Results: The assessment made by the surgeon, the internal nasal splint, is more easily observed in the application into the nose by merocele p>0.05 . Amaç: Septoplasti sonrası internal nazal splint ile merocel tampon kullanımının karşılaştırılması. Hastalar ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya izole septum deviasyonu nedeniyle septoplasti ameliyatı yapılan 197 hasta alındı. Ameliyat bitiminde, rastgele seçimle 98 hastanın 45 kadın, 53 erkek; ort. yaş 28±10; dağılım 18-43 burnuna merocel konulurken, 99 hastanın 43 kadın, 56 erkek; ort. yaş 31±12; dağılım 18-44 internal nazal splint tampon yerleştirildi. Tamponlar 48 saat sonra çıkarıldı. Hastalardan tamponların çekilmesi sırasında oluşan ağrı şiddetlerini vizüel analog skalası VAS ile değerlendirmeleri istendi. Her iki gruptaki VAS skorları istatistiksel olarak karşılaştırıldı.
