Metastasis of Adenocarcinoma Presenting With Radiculopathy: Case Report

Abstract

Although it is well known that the most common cause of lower back and leg pain in the elderly is the degenerative spine disorder, metastatic spine tumors are seen more often than before. Spine metastasis is not a rare pathology and it is been diagnosed more frequently due to the recent developments in radiological techniques and their easy accessibility. In metastatic spine metastasis, cord compression is seen in about 10% to 15 of cases and these patients present with different signs and symptoms according to the level of pathology. Herein, we present an elderly male patient who presented with lower back and leg pain and was diagnosed with a metastatic adenocarcinoma
