Metastasis of Adenocarcinoma Presenting With Radiculopathy: Case Report

Although it is well known that the most common cause of lower back and leg pain in the elderly is the degenerative spine disorder, metastatic spine tumors are seen more often than before. Spine metastasis is not a rare pathology and it is been diagnosed more frequently due to the recent developments in radiological techniques and their easy accessibility. In metastatic spine metastasis, cord compression is seen in about 10% to 15 of cases and these patients present with different signs and symptoms according to the level of pathology. İleri yaştaki hasta grubunda bel ve bacak ağrısının en sık sebebi dejeneratif omurga hastalıkları olarak bilinmekle birlikte günümüzde bu yaş grubunda metastatik omurga tümörlerine de sık rastlanılmaktadır. Sistemik kanserlerde omurga metastazı, nadir bir hadise olmayıp özellikle görüntüleme tekniklerindeki gelişmelere ve bunların yaygınlaşmasına bağlı olarak daha sık tanı almaktadır. Omurga metastazlarında yaklaşık %10 ila 15 oranında omurilik kompresyonu görülmekte ve bu hastalar patoloji seviyesine göre değişen klinik şikâyet ve bulgularla başvurmaktadırlar. Bu yazıda bel ve bacak ağrısı şikâyetleri ile başvuran ve metastatik omurga tümörü tanısı konulan ileri yaştaki bir erkek hasta sunulacaktır
