Abstract
Organophosphate compounds are commonly used in agricultural products and insecticides. Organophosphate poisoning occurs mainly via the gastrointestinal, respiratory tracts and the skin. Severe intoxication is usually the result of suicide attempt. The specific treatment includes the administration of atropine and pralidoxime. Decontamination should be done according to the exposure ways as soon as possible. Misuse and exposure must be kept in the mind especially at farmers, patients with psychiatric disorders and pediatric groups. Abstract
Organofosfatlar zirai ürünlerde ve insektisitlerde yaygın kullanılan bileşiklerdir. Organofosfat zehirlenmeleri genellikle gastrointestinal, respiratuar sistem ve cilt yoluyla olur. Ciddi intoksikasyon özkıyım girişimleri sonucu görülür. Özgün tedavi atropin ve pralidoksim uygulanmasını içerir. Maruziyet yoluna göre en kısa zamanda dekontaminasyon yapılmalıdır. Özellikle çiftçilerde, psikiyatrik bozukluğu olanlarda ve çocuklarda maruziyet ve yanlış kullanım akılda tutulmalıdır. Bu olgu sunumunda saç biti için insektisid kullanımıyla oluşan organofosfat zehirlenmesini bildirmeyi amaçladık
