Bio
Hatice Hale GUMUS, who was born in Adana/Türkiye, graduated from Cukurova University
Faculty of Medicine in 2004. She has worked as a general practitioner in the Emergency
Department of several State Hospitals Emergency Department for five years. She has
completed her specialty training at Cukurova University Faculty of Medicine, Department of
Medical Microbiology in 2013. She has worked as a Microbiology Specialist at Sanlıurfa
Mehmet Akif Inan Training and Research Hospital, a Osmaniye Kadirli Special Yedimart
Hospital, and Baskent University Faculty of Medicine Department of Medical Microbiology
Adana Dr. Turgut Noyan Application and Research Hospital for nine years. She started
working as an Applied Unit Lecturer Doctor at Cukurova University Faculty of Medicine,
Department of Medical Microbiology on March 14, 2022, and she still continues to work as
an associate proffessor. In her social life, she is interested in photography, rowing and
swimming.
Research interest: Medical Microbiology, COVID-19, infectious diseases, nosocomial
infectious agents, antimicrobial resistance, new and re-emerging human pathogens,
microbiota and dementia, microbiota and diabetes, epidemiology and immunology.
