Medical Tourism and Turkish Marketing For International Patients

Abstract

The numbers of both state hospitals and private hospitals are increasing day by day. Due to the fixed market of national patients, nowadays, there is a great challenge to survive in health sector. Turkey has great potential for health tourism with its geographical location, climate, thermal resources, natural beauties, qualified medical personals and hospitals endowed with high technological equipments. According to the 2011 data, world market of medical tourism was approximately 400 billion dollars. In this research, while revealing the current status of Turkey in this global market, we aimed to do necessary suggestions and regulations in order to increase Turkey’s place in this market in future
