Hemşirelik Mesleği Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği’ni Türkçeye Uyarlama Çalışması

Objectives: The Nursing Profession Self-Efficacy Scale that evaluates self-efficacy to cope with professional difficulties was developed and tested by Caruso et al. The aim of this study is to adapt the Nursing Profession Self-Efficacy Scale to Turkish.Methods: The scale was translated from English to Turkish and then back-translated to English by a group of experts and interpreters. The study was conducted with a total of 205 nurses aged 18 and older working in Afyonkarahisar. Analyses included coverage validity based on an expert opinion, explanatory and confirmatory factor analysis, internal consistency, and invariance analyses. Results: The scope validity indices for the expert opinion range from 0.90 to 1.00. After the factor analysis, three items from the Professional Situations domain were deleted from the original scale. Four items from Attributes of Caring Situations moved to other dimensions. So, the final Turkish version of the scale consisted of 16 items that were clustered into two subscales: attributes of caring situations eight items and professional situations eight items . The item-total correlation coefficients of the scale ranged from 0.40 to 0.62. The Spearman-Brown and Guttman coefficients of the scale were 0.86. Internal consistency was 0.87. Conclusion: The results of the psychometric tests demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity of the instrument for this group of nurses. The instrument which measures the self-efficacy of a nurse to cope with the difficulties of the working environment can be also used to predict nurses’ clinical performance

Amaç: Mesleki zorluklarla baş etmeye yönelik öz yeterliği değerlendiren Hemşirelik Mesleği Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği Caruso ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilmiş ve test edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Hemşirelik Mesleği Öz Yeterlik Ölçeği’ni Türkçeye uyarlamaktır.Yöntem: Ölçek İngilizceden Türkçeye çevrildi ve daha sonra onları bir grup uzman ve tercüman tarafından İngilizceye geri çevrildi. Araştırma, Afyonkarahisar’da çalışan 18 yaş ve üzerindeki 205 hemşire ile yapılmıştır. Analizler uzman görüşüne dayalı kapsam geçerliğini, açıklayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizini, iç tutarlılık ve değişmezlik analizlerini içermektedir.Bulgular: Uzman görüşünün kapsam geçerlilik endeksleri 0.90 ile 1.00 arasında değişmektedir. Faktör analizi yapıldıktan sonra, Profesyonel Durumlar boyutundaki üç madde orijinal ölçekten silinmiştir. Bakımın Niteliği alt boyutundan dört madde diğer boyuta yer değiştirmiştir. Böylece ölçeğin nihai Türkçe versiyonu, iki boyuta ayrılmış 16 madde içermektedir: bakım durumlarının özellikleri sekiz madde ve mesleki durumlar sekiz madde . Ölçeğin madde-toplam korelasyon katsayıları 0.40 ile 0.62 arasında değişmektedir. Ölçeğin Spearman-Brown ve Guttman katsayıları 0.86’dır. İç tutarlılık katsayısı 0.87’dir.Sonuç: Psikometrik test sonuçları bu hemşire grubu için ölçeğin güvenirliği ve geçerliği açısından tatmin edicidir. Hemşirenin çalışma ortamındaki güçlüklerle baş etmeye yönelik öz yeterliğini ölçen araç, hemşirelerin klinik performansını öngörmek için de kullanılabilir
