The Exploring of The Relationship Between Age and The Other Socio-Demographic Characteristics and Cognitive Functions In Indivuduals Living In Nursing Home

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between age and other socio-demographic characteristics, and cognitive functions in older adults living in nursing home. Study design: A total 111 individuals 60 years and over were included. Socio-demographic data were recorded. Cognitive functions were evaluated with Montreal Cognitive Assessment MoCA . Results: Twenty 18.1% of the individuals were aged between 60–69 years, 46 41.4 were aged between 70–79 years, and 45 40.5% were aged between 80 years and over. Huzurevinde Yaşayan Bireylerde Yaş ve Diğer Sosyo-Demografik Özellikler ile Kognitif Fonksiyonlar Arasındaki İlişkinin Araştırılması

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, huzurevi ortamında yaşayan yaşlılarda yaş ve diğer sosyo-demografik özelliklerin kognitif fonksiyonlar ile ilişkisini incelemektir. Çalışma planı: Çalışmaya 60 yaş ve üstü 111 yaşlı birey dahil edildi. Çalışmaya dahil edilen bireylerin sosyo-demografik özellikleri kaydedildi. Kognitif durum değerlendirmesine Montreal Bilişsel Değerlendirme MoCA testi ile bakıldı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya dahil edilen bireylerin 20’si %18,1 60–69 yaş, 46’sı %41,4 70–79 yaş ve 45’i %40,5 80 yaş ve üzeri idi.
